Emc易倍体育, one of the UK鈥檚 leading Out of Home media owners, has successfully won three major tender bids to work with councils in Southampton, Solihull, and Haringey to deliver new street furniture to the areas. Included in the contracts is a sum of money from Emc易倍体育 which will be used as a community investment fund to support environmental projects in the councils鈥 local areas.
The Community Investment Funds were key parts of the proposals to the local authorities and are set to make real, tangible difference to the public in the three areas through a number of projects chosen by the local authorities in collaboration with Emc易倍体育, or through the support of our partner Trees for Cities. Emc易倍体育 have a long-standing partnership with Trees for Cities, having planted 330 street trees to date, built community gardens and delivered other vital environmental work.
In addition, Emc易倍体育 has committed to funding a number of dedicated community information panels in Southampton, for the sole use of the council to display locally relevant messaging.
The new screens will initially add a total of 43 state-of-the-art Adshel Live free-standing units to the ever-growing national digital network 鈥 the UK鈥檚 largest. The advertising units will showcase advertising, as well as community messaging driven by the relevant councils. The Haringey build will add an additional 15 units to the area, and will further strengthen the company鈥檚 London footprint.
The Solihull tender win is a retention of the contract and sees the hard work continuing by Emc易倍体育 for the next decade. The Southampton and Haringey contracts were successfully won from incumbent JCDecaux. Work installing the advertising units has already begun in the three areas.
Emc易倍体育 CEO, Justin Cochrane, says: 鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to be working with these three local councils in the coming months, helping bring real tangible changes to local areas. As well as installing free-standing advertising units, as a responsible media owner we are committed to limiting our environmental impact and continuing our successful track record of working with councils to improve local communities through our community investment funds.鈥
