Today, internationally acclaimed Franco-British artist Martin Firrell, in partnership with Emc易倍体育 UK, announced a major new public art series which will explore the ways women regard and exercise power in the modern world. 聽
The project titled Women and Power, is the latest installation in Firrell鈥檚 25-year association with leading Out of Home media and infrastructure company Emc易倍体育.
The art series features inspiring quotes from seven eminent female leaders and change-makers across arts, academia, business and culture, it will be rolled out on Emc易倍体育's digital Out of Home screens nationwide.
Through his work, Firrell aims to challenge unjust power systems including patriarchal power, the oppression of women and non-heterosexuals, and the heteronormative status quo. As with his previous installations, this series sees Firrell use thought-provoking language to engage directly with the public, provoking dialogue about more equitable social organisation.
