The initiative 鈥� #BusinessAsUnusual 鈥� has been set up so that the neighbourhood business owners, who鈥檝e worked hard to adapt and continue trading, can drum up some new trade. They鈥檒l have the opportunity to broadcast new opening hours, deliveries, takeaways and the many other imaginative ways that they鈥檙e operating to keep offering products and services.

Bauer Media Outdoor鈥檚 2,300+ screen strong Adshel Live network will host the local advertisements, playing them on screens within a one-mile radius of the local business.

As many local businesses won鈥檛 have the facility to create their own advertisements for the screens, Bauer Media Outdoor is offering design and support to bring the free campaigns to life if required. Business owners will simply be able to share an image and the words to be used, and the team will do the rest.

One of the first businesses to join the initiative is The Griffin pub in Brentford. The pub has adapted to keep its kitchen open and offer takeaway meal services three days a week, including a Sunday roast.

The Griffin鈥檚 Landlords Gerhard and Claire Peleschka, 鈥淚t鈥檚 been exceptionally tricky times for us over the past few weeks, but we鈥檝e worked really hard to keep serving the local community, which we鈥檙e proudly a part of.
